Asian Green Bean Stir Fry



Tasty green bean recipe with garlic, ginger and soy sauce . Makes a fabulous quick side for your weeknight meal.


Asian Green Bean Stir Fry


Ingredients

3 Tablespoons soy sauce

1 Tablespoon water

1 Tablespoon rice vinegar

1 Tablespoon brown sugar or honey

1 Tablespoon sesame oil or olive oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated or minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes( optional)

1 lb green beans

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Optional garnish sesame seeds


Directions

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, water, rice vinegar and brown sugar and set aside.


Heat oil in a skillet.  Add garlic,  ginger and red pepper flakes and sauté for about 30 seconds.


Add the green beans and soy sauce mixture and toss to combine.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder and toss to combine. Cover and cook for another 3-5 minutes.


Taste and add more seasoning as needed and stir fry until the green beans are tender.

Optional: Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving .
