Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
Ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
1/4 cup brown sugar or honey
2 Tablespoon rice vinegar
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
3 cloves garlic, minced or grated
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 pound flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced into strips
1/2 - 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
Optional: sesame seeds
Directions
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, broth, brown sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch and set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook the steak until browned about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
Sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds. Add the sauce mixture and stir until combined. Add in broccoli and cook for a couple of minutes while the sauce thickens, while stirring.
Add the beef and continue to cook for couple of minutes and garnish with optional sesame seeds before serving.
