All you need is oats and a blender to make your own oat flour. Blending takes less than a minute and it’s so much cheaper than store bought oat flour.
Oat flour generally adds moisture and fluffy texture to baked goods. You can use it by itself or mix with all purpose flour. This is a great gluten-free option for pancakes, waffles, quick breads, or baked goods. Its nutty flavor works well with recipes using honey, vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg. It can also be used as a thickener for sauces, gravies or soups.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.
