I LOVE using the Instant Pot for making hard boiled eggs as the shells peel right off! Here are the results with different times depending on your yolk preference. For testing, I used the same cooking time as the natural release time. (Cook for 3 minutes, waited 3 minutes before releasing pressure, cook for 4 minutes, waited 4 min to release, etc) For me, 5 mins cooking with 5 mins natural release works best. Since it doesn't take long to cook, test out few variations for your personal preference. Notes/Tips: - If you cook cold eggs straight from fridge, some shells may crack. Therefore, if you don't mind the crack, use cold eggs...otherwise use room temp eggs. - The cooking time is the same whether you cook 1 egg or 6 eggs - Once you have your cooking time preference, make a batch and store in the fridge for breakfast, salads, snacks for the week. Directions:
Add 1 cup of water into the pressure cooker
Place a trivet or trivet with a steamer on top
Place eggs on top of the trivet or steamer
Cook on high pressure for 3-5 minutes
Natural release for 3-5 minutes
Transfer eggs to cold water to cool for a few minutes, changing out the water if needed.
